Inanda is one of Durban’s townships with great cultural values. It is the home of the first ANC president John Langalibalele Dube who is also the founder of the Ohlange institute. Townships (black only community areas) came to existence in the times of Apartheid. There you will find out the facts about the township. Depart on a life experience tour to see few of many townships around Durban. Pass the barber, the tuck-shop and the tavern (local bar). Interact with the locals know more about the area from the people who live there. We end our tour with lunch at our local restaurant -  Shisa nyama, a braai (barbecue) in township style.
 
The Apartheid government classified four different kinds of groups in South Africa. Whites, Indians, Coloureds and Blacks. Every group had their own rights and their own place to live. Now, more than 15 years after the Apartheid officially ended the South African nation is still very much divided. The different groups have different life styles.

We travel to the north of Durban towards Stanger & Eshowe. On route we visit the King Shaka memorial. Arrive at Shakaland and experience the rich of the Zulu traditions.

We drive along the North Coast route taking us past Gingindlovo and Eshowe to Shakaland.
